So Here We Are...

I know it's been awhile, and you've probably been wondering how Mom is doing. Truthfully, it's just been many weeks of Friday chemo rounds, and Mom faithfully going to work, watching the boys-daily life things...not too exciting right? She's handled the chemo amazingly well-no hair loss, no nausea...now, sometimes on a Sunday after chemo, she feels very, very tired, and run down, but will still be able to go to work on Monday. Her numbers continue to look great, although, this week, she will be getting another blood transfusion, which will greatly increase energy levels! Today, at 1, she will finally be getting another CT-and hopefully, once the docs look it over, she'll be headed towards surgery to get this thing out! It's a long week for Mom...CT, meeting with Hopkins doctor, blood transfusion, chemo...and a wedding on Friday! Once we get the results from the CT scan, we'll know more-about the surgery, about how the tumor is doing after all the chemo...that's why I've not updated much, because we just haven't known anything-a lot of waiting.

Mom's school is really supportive of her, and is in full swing of Pancreatic Cancer Month-lots of purple everywhere! Dad continues to be the ever supportive caretaker-taking Mom to chemo when needed, dealing with the doctors and insurance companies..as well as taking care of the boys, mentoring men, and writing a graduate-level class to be taught at McDaniel College! Lauren and Justin have been in town for a couple of weeks for a wedding, but they'll head back to CA at the end of this month....They'll be spending Turkey Day in CA, and Christmas and New Years in Canada...not quite sure when we'll be seeing them next...

So that's where we are...waiting for CT results and going from there!
